Mary Taylor,
diagnosed at Queen Victoria Hospital Thursday 24 March 1932,
admitted to Austin Hospital May 1932 (3 weeks prior to operation),
operated on 2 June 1932, came home 26 July 1932.

Mick Bourke visits "Mum" on Thursday April 19 1934 (age - 48 ?)

Mum went to Belgrave to see her sister Saturday 4th October 1935
she was admitted St. Vincent's Friday 6 December 1935,
but came home Wednesday 11 December 1935
She died 2 June 1936 at 11:55 (am/pm not known) and is
buried at Melbourne General Cemetery with "Grandma" and "Father",
at 3:00 pm 3 June 1936.
She had been unconcious since 5:30 am on the Sunday morning.
Funeral was attended by Uncle Alf, Bert, Jack and Snow Rogers.

Norma left home 5 June 1939.

My thanks go to Anne Forbes (my cousin) and her mother Norma Hargood, my father's adopted sister, for whatever information she was able to remember and supply about my father's youth and his immediate family, including information gleaned from Bertha Anderson's diary which she kindly gave to me to aid in my research.

Attempting to trace Swedish roots from the nineteeth century is terrifying, especially when one discovers that "Andersson" is not only one of the most common names in Scandinavia, but also that the Christian names of both my grandfather, August, and his sister, Bertha, were two of the most popular children's names of that period (circa 1860) in both Norway and Sweden

My sincere thanks go to Rolf Persson from the Swedish Geneology Society for his learned assistance in pointing me in the right direction at the correct 'Anderssons', and his help in deciphering the Lutheran Church's Släp Parish records.
